I have been a therapist specializing in parent loss for over ten years. In that time one of the biggest issues my clients struggle with is wishing their partner had a better understanding of what they are going through. The loss of a parent (whether in childhood, adolescence, or adulthood) impacts us on many levels, and often plays a role in the flow of a romantic relationship.
I've helped many spouses and partners come to a better understanding of how they can best support their partner in times when the loss is really affecting them. This course is designed for you and your partner to do on your own, or together.

I understand the relationship dynamics that come with parent loss on a personal and professional level. As someone who has lost both her parents, one of the most challenging aspects of my grief process has been how my losses affect my romantic partnerships. Understanding how the loss plays out for a woman can be the key to a healthy relationship.
